Welcome to Chess-guru! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, products, and services (“Services”).
By using Chess-guru chess training platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. About Us

   Chess-guru offers personalised chess improvement services created and curated by artificial intellegence based on your chess game. Our Services are designed to help you train efficiently, but ultimate improvement depends on your individual effort.

2. Eligibility

   To enter into this Agreement, use the Services, and/or create an account with us, you must be at least 13 years of age. If you are not of legal age in your jurisdiction -- but are at least 13 years of age - then your parent or legal guardian must consent to this Agreement on your behalf prior to your use of the Services and you may only use the Services with the consent and involvement of your parent or legal guardian. If you know of someone under the age of either 13 or the legal age in their jurisdiction (whichever is older) who is using the Service -- or has created an account with us -- and they are doing so without parental/guardian consent, then please notify us at support@chess-guru.com. We do not ask you for your birth date, if you use the Service or create an account with us, then you are affirming that you meet these requirements and we are permitted to reasonably rely on that.

   Geographic Availability:

   Our Services are currently available only in the United States and India.
   By using our Services, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that you meet all age and geographic eligibility requirements.

3. Services and Delivery

   Upon subscribing, you will be able to:

   • Generate game analysis by uploading chess scoresheet, PGN, or games from chess.com & lichess.
   • Generate a personalized training plan based on your previous games.
   • Analysis and roadmap based on your submitted games.
   • Based on the plan, you can generate a number of training plans.

   Delivery is typically made via your Chess-guru account and email within a reasonable time after you submit the required information.

4. Payment and Refund Policy
   • All payments are billed on a subscription basis (yearly, two yearly or three yearly) and are charged automatically according to the plan you select. Pricing is displayed at checkout before purchase.
   • 7-Day free trial (first purchase only): If you are not satisfied, you may request a cancellation of the plan before the end of your 7 days of free trial period.
   • After 7 days: Refunds are not available.
   • Renewals: Subscription renewals are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges, but fees already paid for the current billing period will not be refunded.
   • If you upgrade your subscription plan while an existing plan is still active, prorated charges will apply. Proration is calculated based on the remaining duration of your current plan and the price difference of the upgraded plan. You may only upgrade from the Basic plan to the Coach plan. Downgrades (e.g., Coach to Basic) are not permitted under any circumstances.
   • If you choose to delete your account while your subscription is still active, your membership associated with that email address will be permanently terminated. Deleting your account does not entitle you to any refund, partial or full, for the remaining subscription period. No refunds will be initiated or processed through your Stripe account for deleted accounts.
   • If you delete the account during your ongoing plan, the membership on that email no longer will exist and the stripe account will also not have any refund initiated.
   • If you believe there was an error in your purchase or were charged incorrectly, please contact us at support@Chess-guru.com.
5. User Responsibilities

   You agree to:

   • Provide accurate, honest information when subscribing and requesting a personalized plan.
   • Use the training plan for your personal, non-commercial improvement.
   • Respect the intellectual property rights of Chess-guru

   You may not copy, resell, or publicly distribute Chess-guru’s materials without written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

   All content provided by Chess-guru (training plans, analyses) is protected. You may use your training plan for your own improvement.

7. Disclaimers

   Chess improvement is a personal journey.
   We cannot guarantee rating increases, tournament results, or any particular outcomes.
   Chess-guru is intended as an educational tool, and success depends on your own efforts.

8. Limitation of Liability

   To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chess-guru will not be liable for:

   • Indirect or incidental damages.
   • Lost opportunities, lost ratings, or unrealized goals
   • Any content inaccuracies or external links provided in plans.
   
   

   Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

9. Modifications

   We may update these Terms occasionally.
   If changes are material, we might notify users via the website or email.
   
   Continued use of Chess-guru after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
